This summer, Nisa Homes presents Mommy & Me Webinar series, an early childhood online program. This program will include a Qur’an story time session for 3–6-year-olds and their moms, where the children will get the opportunity to act out the stories of the Prophets (AS). This session will be led by Dr.Farah Islam.
Interactive Story-time will be followed by a mindfulness session that both child and mom can benefit from, focusing on identifying different emotions and self-regulation in children. Mindfulness sessions will be led by Sarah Saab, Nisa Homes’ Childcare Worker.

Dr. Farah Islam: Farah Islam, PhD, completed her doctoral studies at York University and her postdoctoral fellowship at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and the University of Toronto. She is a Senior Fellow at the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research and serves on the expert advisory committee for Nisa Homes. Dr. Islam also works at Sound Vision as a Mental Health Specialist and Screenwriter for the children’s TV puppet show, Adam’s World. She has taught children online for the Adam’s World Club series and for Dawanet’s E-School.
Sarah Saab: Sarah is a Registered Early Childhood Educator and is currently completing her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Leadership. Her passions are working with children while advocating for an inclusive and equitable education within the early years. When not at Nisa Homes, you can find Sarah cooking and baking Levant region foods, doing photography, hiking, birdwatching and when there is no global pandemic, travelling!
