Donate Stocks & Securities
A donation of stocks and securities is one of the most efficient ways to give. Since capital gains taxes do not apply, Nisa Homes will receive the full fair market value of the security donated. Your tax receipt will reflect this larger amount allowing you to give more.

The Adopt-A-Room Program offers a year-long sponsorship of the rooms in our 10 homes across Canada.
Your gift helps ensure survivors are welcomed into spaces that are safe, comfortable home environments, so that they can focus on their well-being and their futures.
Are my donations tax deductible?
Yes, Nisa Homes is a project of Nisa Foundation, a registered charity in Canada. When you donate online by credit card, your tax receipt is issued immediately to your email. For other donations, hold on to your transaction receipt, your tax receipt will be sent to you in February of the following year.

Can I donate in a currency other than CAD?
We accept online donations from all over the world, your credit card will be charged and converted into Canadian currency.

What administration cost does Nisa Homes incur?
Our administrative cost is 4-6% depending on the year of operation. Our policy is to cover all administrative costs through non-Zakat first.
What is a Transitional Home?
It is a safe residence for you and your children to go to if you are in an unsafe home environment, in an abusive relationship, homeless or at risk of homelessness or simply in need of a place of safety. The addresses of transition houses are kept confidential so that women (and children) cannot be found. Transition houses are usually regular houses that are available in most communities and cities.
Can I bring my children to Nisa Homes?
Yes, you can bring your children under the age of 12, but they must also be able to follow the rules and responsibilities of the house.
How long can I stay at Nisa Home?
The duration of stay is determined on a case by case basis, however it is usually between one to three months.
So recite what is easy from it and establish prayer and give zakat and loan Allah a good loan. And whatever good you put forward for yourselves- you will find it with Allah. It is better and greater in reward. And seek forgiveness of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.”
