Introducing Nisa Foundation

Muslim Women Transforming Communities.

Nisa Foundation, stemming from the union of esteemed charities Nisa Helpline and Nisa Homes (formerly a part of the National Zakat Foundation Canada) serves as a pillar of support for all Muslim women and children across Canada, regardless of background and status. As they navigate the unique challenges of domestic violence, homelessness, and mental health issues, we stand as the only organization uniquely tailored to address their needs.

Since 2015, we’ve grown significantly, establishing ten shelters nationwide that have provided safe shelter for over 1,600 women and children. Our impact goes beyond sheltering as we received over 52,000 calls for holistic helpline support. Together, Nisa Homes and Nisa Helpline have empowered thousands of women to reclaim their lives and independence, providing the tools and support needed to thrive.

Our Mission Fuels Thriving Communities

Rooted in both Canadian ideals of respect, equality, and compassion and Islamic principles of justice, mercy, and community welfare, Nisa Foundation’s programs will provide hope for many and become critical in building thriving communities.

Our Brand

The Nisa Foundation logo, colours and branding are designed to reflect a sense of unity, empowerment, and the foundation’s rooted commitment to enriching women’s lives.

In the coming weeks, Nisa Homes and Nisa Helpline will reflect the new look to showcase a unified brand.

By weaving the stories and legacies of the two organizations into this one identity, it becomes an emblem, a crown, of collective strength and purpose.
